Why this book
The DPDP Act was written around processing that can be described in advance. A great deal of AI processing cannot be described that way, which raises real questions about notice, purpose limitation and erasure that the statute does not answer directly.
This volume works through those questions as they arrive in practice, without pretending the law is settled where it is not.
Purpose limitation assumes you can state the purpose. That assumption is where most AI deployments meet the Act.
